PeopleSoft Mobile Expenses & Approvals available for download

After a long, long time PeopleSoft is on the Mobile tour again. PeopleSoft has presented three mobile applications on Oracle Open World 2012: Company Directory, Expenses and Approvals. The latter two are now available for download in FMS FINANCIALS 9.1 BUNDLE #23. And you do not have to wait for Financials 9.2 or PeopleTools 8.53, this is already available on Financials and Supply Chain 9.1 with PeopleTools 8.52!

These enhancements include the following functionality:
  • Ability to create and manage expense reports from a mobile device (iPhone or iPad, for example).
  • Provide approval capability from mobile devices for expense reports, journals, purchase orders, requisitions, and vouchers.
  • Ability to approve, deny, or push back pending transactions at the header level from a mobile device.
  • Ability to select and view attachments (if applicable) and add comments for pending transactions.
  • Ability to perform mass approvals using a mobile device.
PeopleSoft 9.1 Mobile Applications have been tested for the following mobile devices:
  • Android Phone (Samsung Galaxy SIII)
  • Apple iPhone 4 & 4S (iOS 5.1)
  • Apple iPad 2 and iPad 3 (iOS 5.1)
  • Google Nexus Tablet (Android Jelly Bean)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 (Android Honeycomb)
The mobile applications are build using,  not ADF (as many had expected), but using,  iScripts, Rest services and jQuery Mobile. So all mobile pages are build using PeopleSoft technologies and run straight from PIA ...

  2. Did you read this post?

It explains how to download and setup mobile expenses. Btw it is not a native app that you can download from an appstore or google play, but it is an application build in peoplesoft with jquery to dive it a mobile look and feel.
